CALNET Contract Information

Purpose:

This chapter provides centralized address and telephone numbers for contacts referred to within the State Telecommunications Management Manual (STMM) chapters for the CALNET Program.

Policy:

Questions about the STMM should be directed to the appropriate office or section within the California Department of Technology – CALNET Program. If unclear about whom to contact you may call CALNET at (916) 657-9150.

CALNET Responsibilities:

• Ensures that quality telecommunications services and commodities are available to all state agencies and local governments, in the most cost-effective, efficient and timely manner possible. This includes maximizing the use of State resources and the consolidation and joint use of telecommunications systems and services where operationally, technically and economically feasible.
• Obtains contracts and supports voice and data services for the state’s CALNET telecommunications network.
