Subject: CALNET 3 Contract Expiration
**ACTION REQUIRED FOR CALNET 3 CUSTOMERS**
All CALNET 3 contracts will expire on December 31, 2023. The California Department of Technology urges all CALNET 3 customers to transition their services to CALNET NextGen contracts as soon as possible.
On December 31, 2023, a Migration-Out period will commence for remaining CALNET 3 customers. The Migration-Out period is intended to facilitate a smooth and complete transition from CALNET 3 to CALNET NextGen without an interruption in service. As such, CALNET 3 customers will continue to have access to their CALNET 3 services during the Migration-Out period and customers should continue to pay contractors for rendered CALNET 3 services until migrated to a new contract.
CALNET 3 customers can initiate their migration to CALNET NextGen by contacting their current CALNET contractor. Additional information about CALNET NextGen can be found on the CALNET website.
