Subject: CALNET Legacy Contract Award
The California Department of Technology is pleased to announce that CALNET Next Gen Legacy 4 Invitation for Bid (IFB) has concluded and categories 15, 16, 17 & 18 have been fully executed.
The awarded contractors and contract terms are as follows:
Category 15 Dedicated Transport – AT&T and Verizon
- Section 15.2.2 Carrier DS0 Service – three (3) years, with (2) one-year options to extend.
- All other Category 15 services – seven (7) years, with three (3) one-year options to
extend.
Category 16 Long Distance Calling – AT&T, CenturyLink and Verizon
- Five (5) years, with five (5) one-year options to extend.
Category 17 Toll-Free Calling – AT&T and Verizon
- Five (5) years, with five (5) one-year options to extend.
Category 18 Legacy Telecommunications – AT&T
- Section 18.3.1.1 Carrier Analog Service – three (3) years, with (2) one-year options to
extend. - All other Category 18 services – seven (7) years, with three (3) one-year options to
extend.

- User Instructions
- CALNET Next Gen Contract Documents
- Conversion from CALNET 3 to the CALNET Next Gen services
