Overview
The California Department of Technology (CDT) is pleased to announce the launch of the fully redesigned California Open Source Portal (OSP), now available at https://code.ca.gov/. This initiative reinforces CDT’s commitment to develop and foster modern, effective digital services, and experiences across the State of California.
The OSP is intended to serve as a free, centralized code-sharing and collaboration platform, enabling government entities to more easily reuse, contribute, and collaborate on open-source solutions at the lowest possible cost. This effort is in alignment with the State of California Open Source and Code Reuse Policy (TL 18-02), and reinforces CDT’s commitment to transparency, efficiency, and innovation.

- Enroll and participate in the code sharing initiative
- Subscribe to future announcements, forums, and workshops
- Request a demonstration
- Receive guidance on preparing open-source projects for promotion and distribution
